Statement of Faith

The Doctrine of the Holy Scriptures:

We believe that the whole Bible is the verbally and plenary inspired Word of God and is inerrant in the original writings. It is to be our final authority and guide for our life and conduct.
(2 Tim. 3:15-17; 2 Pet. 1:21; Deut. 4:2; 12:32)

The Doctrine of God:

We believe in the only living and true God, creator of heaven and earth, who is eternal, unchanging, all powerful, all knowing, all present, holy and loving, who exists in three equal persons as the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
(Jer. 10:10; Isa. 45:4,5; Gen. 1:1; Ps. 90:2; James 1:17; Jer. 32:17; Proverbs 15:3; Ps. 139:7,8; I Pet. 1:15,16; I John 3:1; Romans 1:7; Heb. 1:8; Acts 5:3,4)

The Doctrine of Jesus Christ:

We believe in Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God who is truly God and truly man. He existed from all eternity and all things were created by Him. He was born of the virgin Mary. He came to die on the cross for the sins of mankind as the only sacrifice for man’s salvation. We believe in His bodily resurrection from the tomb; His ascension into Heaven and that He now sits at the right hand of God as the head of the Church and the only mediator between God and man. We believe in His imminent return for His redeemed ones before the tribulation period, and that all men wi11 be judged by Him .
( I John 5: 2; Heb. 4: 15, 16 ; John 15:7; Heb. 1:10; I Cor. 15:3; Acts 4:12; Heb. 2:14; 2 Cor. 5:15; I Pet. 2:24; Mark.16:19; Heb. 9:24; I Tim. 2:5; Acts 17:31; Eph. 1:22,23; Titus 2:13)

The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit:

We believe that the Holy Spirit is equal with God the Father and God the Son and that the Holy Spirit convicts men of sin, dwells within saints, sanctifies and sets apart the believer to a holy life; guides in all truth; testifies of and glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. He also seals every believer at the time of conversion and baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ.
(Acts 5:3,4; Gen. 6:3; John 14:17; John 16:8,11; John 14:26; John 15:26,27; I Cor. 6:19; I Cor. 6:11; John 16:13,14; Eph. 4:30; I Cor. 12:12,13)

The Doctrine of Man:

We believe that God created man in His own image, but because of temptation, man wilfully sinned, thus separating himself from God, and apart from salvation in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, man will be eternally lost in hell.
(Gen. 1:26,27; Romans 3:10-23; I Thes. 1:9)

The Doctrine of Salvation:

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, and that only through His shed Blood can man hope to have eternal life by accepting Him as his own personal Saviour from sin.
(Eph. 2:16; Matt. 26:28; Rom. 5:9; Rom. 6:23; Eph. 2:8,9; Rom. 10:9,10,13)

The Doctrine of Hell:

We believe in a literal hell in which all unsaved people, who have not asked the Lord to save them from the condemnation of sin, will spend eternity.
(Ps. 9:17; Rev. 20:10; Luke 16:19-31)

The Doctrine of Heaven:

We believe in a literal heaven in which all believers, or people who have been saved, will spend eternity with the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Luke 10:20; I Pet. 1:4; Matt. 6:20; John 14:1-4)

The Doctrine of the Church:

We believe in the true Church or Body of the Lord Jesus Christ, composed only of those who have been born into it by the Holy Spirit. We believe in the local Church, composed only of believers, for the primary purpose of spreading the Gospel to a lost and dying world, building up the saints in the faith, and for the fellowship of believers.
(Eph. 1:23; Col. 1:24; Eph. 1:22; Eph. 5:25; Acts 2:47; I Cor.12:13; Matt. 28:19,20; Eph. 4:12)

The Doctrine of Satan:

We believe that the devil is a literal and real personal being who is the prince of this world, and who seeks to keep men from God. He is also the chief opponent of God and Christian.
(I Thes. 2:18; Matt. 13:19; I Thes. 1
3:5; Eph. 6:12)

The Doctrine of Future Things:

We believe in the pre-millennial, imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ, at which time He will take His Church out of the world prior to the seven-year tribulation period. He then will return in His glory and set up His 1,OOO-year millennial reign.
(I Thes. 4:13-18; Acts 1:19,11; Rev. 21:1-8).
